Arrecife is the capital of Lanzarote and not often visited by tourists except to catch the plane home again. However, we were surprised by just how pleasant it is.
This harbour area is towards the middle of the sea-front area, near the Castillo San Gabriel. The reef here gave the town its name (Arrecife means reefs).
