Playa Quemada, Lanzarote
Playa Quemada is a tiny little hamlet. It is basically one road, with a handful of cottages, facing out to sea. There is a narrow, black rocky beach, used only by fishermen and local children.

Presumably, this is how tiny Playa Blanca used to be 20 or so years ago. It certainly feels like the real Lanzarote.

There are 2 restaurants here, although one was being re-furnished when we arrived. The other, however, served us with a fantastic, inexpensive meal of locally caught fish and typical Canarian specialities. Along with a cold beer and a beautiful view, what else could be more perfect?
