Costa Teguise, Lanzarote
Costa Teguise is the island's second biggest resort and has been especially developed for the tourist. It is just 5km from the capital, Arrecife and its central location makes it a good base from which to explore the rest of the island.
Costa Teguise has two main beaches. Los Cucharas is the sandiest and largest; one of the best places on the island for windsurfing. The resort has wide, treelined streets leading down to the sea, with a huge range of tourist shops, restaurants and bars. (Some of our favourite names include "The Sunburnt Arms" bar and the Indian Restaurant "Mahatma Cote"!) There are plenty of opportunities to watch football or the latest instalment of your favourite TV programmes at the many British bars. There is a choice of lively nightlife opportunities, including live entertainment, cocktail bars and night clubs.
Just outside Costa Teguise is the island's Aqua Park and golf course.
