 Jameos del Agua is a tourst attraction, made from an old volcanic tunnel. You can go down underground to bars, cafes and a museum and theatre and enjoy the delights of underground lakes and blind white crabs!As you ascend into the sunshine, at the far end of the lake, through the terrace of yet another funky bar, you reach a dazzling spectacle: a man made swimming pool (closed for public swimming) in brilliant white, with turquoise water, artistically arranged palm trees and flowering shrubs fringing its shore. Behind this is a large underground concert hall, which was unfortunately closed for renovation during our visit. MORE... |

As you ascend into the sunshine, at the far end of the lake, through the terrace of yet another funky bar, you reach a dazzling spectacle: a man made swimming pool (closed for public swimming) in brilliant white, with turquoise water, artistically arranged palm trees and flowering shrubs fringing its shore. Behind this is a large underground concert hall, which was unfortunately closed for renovation during our visit. Above ground once more, there is yet another bar/cafe and a science museum, which explains to visitors the story of the island's volcanic history.
